Open Piano Evening 2.0

The London Contemporary School of Piano’s Open Mic Piano Evening has become a huge success with our students and like-minded people. These are people who are looking for a supportive space to perform, attempt new musical challenges and meet others who are going through the same process.

The evenings are attended by a wide variety of musicians, from songwriters to classical pianists, with music from Bach to the Blues, to ragtime to Rachmaninov, and every evening seems to have a different groove to it. Members and non-members of our school are equally welcome. Quite often we have had to turn performers away, because of the huge success of the evenings. If you’d like to play on the night, make sure to contact Cait.

We feel we have outgrown the smart but casual Boisdale Jazz club in Mayfair and before we even had the chance to consider choosing a new venue to launch our Open Piano Nights version 2.0, one of our current members, Soren Jessen approached us. Soren is a renowned restauranteur and owner of 1 Lombard Street, which is one of London City’s most popular venues.

So we are delighted to announce the launch of :

Now that summer is behind us and school is back, there could be no better way for you to renew your musical goals and to get inspiredby our amazing students and coaches. We already have some fantastic performances lined up.

If you’d like to attend and/or perform, please email Cait: [email protected].

1 Lombard Street, has a fantastic menu, so please feel free to show up hungry. To book a table, please call the venue on 0207 929 6611. Alternatively, you can email [email protected]. Remember to book early since the events room has limited capacity of around 40 people!

This evening is a great opportunity to connect with those who are on a musical journey just like you. Our members are a wonderful group of people who are all on their different stages in that process. Rather than struggling at the piano alone, why not come and spend a great evening of us with lots of great music.

New faces, old faces – I hope to catch up with you and look forward to seeing you soon.
